deleting voice mail

I have the basic LG flip phone. I received a call the other day and someone left a voice mail message. I called voice mail to listen to the mesaage and did not hear anything yet it appeared that they did not hang up and/or just ended the call.

Here's my problem - I cannot delete this! I don't get any automated prompts one I try (and wait) to see if automated prompts will guide me! Any solutions?

I just received another call and cannot access the next voice mail message to listen to it (since I can't get passed the first one) - argh!

Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

My problem has been solved! Verizon support called me directly today and offered the solution:

At any point during the Voice Mail message, you may press "7" to erase the message or "9" to save the message. The next available Voice Mail will start playing automatically.

It workd! Hope it also solves your daughter's issue as well :-)

My daughters phone has the same type of problem. a beeping voice mail that cannot be deleted and any new ones cannot be listened to.
