I have a Samsung Intensity. Can I forward a saved voicemail message to an email address or is there a way to access this email via my Verizon online account?

I'm assumin g, based on your question, that you have Verizon's regular standard voicemail. Verizon does contract with a company to save voicemails to an mp3 or wav file. It's called CBW Productions Inc. and their Verizon section can be found here: www.cbwproductions.com/vwclientsorder.html
For fututre reference, Verizon offers Visual Voicemail for an additional fee per month that does allow you to download messages to your computer. A free service that also does htis is YouMail, which is awesome, and I use it. I'd recommend that going forward, but you'll need to use a third party service to get any messages currently in your mailbox.
