Any way to remove the HUGE time/temp on the desktop of the phone?

I just got my 2 yesterday and don't have the manual yet, but was wondering if anyone knew how to do this?

That would be the famous Sense clock.

Just long press your finger on the icon/widget until it releases and then drag it to the trash/remove at the bottom of the screen. When it turns red, remove your finger from the screen and the widget is removed from the screen.
