my phone got wet and i was wondering if the sd card can get damaged by water.
Any electronics can be damaged by water. An SD card though, with no moving parts or places for shorts is less likely to be damaged. If yours got wet, you should dry it completely and clean it before putting it back in a phone or computer to read it. If it was damaged, there's not a lot you can do, but hopefully it will work again once it is dry.
