Messages not being sent/recieved from a specific person

I have a Samsung Reality phone and my boyfriend has a Sprint... something. I'm not sure. We text eachother all the time, have been forever, but all of a sudden since Saturday night he's not recieving my messages and I'm not recieving his. Sometimes picture messages work, but text messages don't. I recieved two of his yesterday that he had sent about 12 hours beforehand. He's gotten nothing from me.

What should we do? It's strange... we've been texting each other from the same phones, same numbers for well over a year. Why is there a problem now?

Also: we both have unlimited plans so that can't be the problem. We can both send and recieve from other people, too. Just not each other.

That's strange that it would stop all of a sudden. Did either of you add an app or change anything?

I would try deleting each other as a contact, then one of you try to send a message to the other using the full 10-digit number. If that is successful, add the contact back from the received message, and then REPLY to that message so the other can add from the received message.

Something may have happened to corrupt one or both contacts so things are messed up. By deleting (then reboot the phone) and adding back in it may solve the issue.
