Is there anything I can do to my Samsung Intensity II to make birthdays from my contacts automatically appear in my calendar?

I understand your desire to have your contacts birthdays to sync with your phone's calendar. I have checked the Samsung Intensity II user guide and syncing your contacts' birthday with your calendar is not an option featured with this basic phone.
