LG Cosmos Touch - Alarm Clock Dismiss

Hi, I am having problems with my LG Cosmos Touch alarm settings:

When it goes off for a set time, there is no option to "Dismiss" the alarm (like there was in other LG phones). Instead, you can only choose to 'Snooze' by sliding across the unlock button. It seems as if the only way to shut off the alarm's subsequent rings after the snooze is to go into the alarm clock settings and actually turn off the alarm, which is fairly inconvenient if you are interested in using the alarm for daily use.

Any one else having these issues? Know the solution?

Hopefully the OP figured this out already, but my girlfriend did/does have the same issue (she's sleeping but tomorrow I'll tell her I figured it out). Anyways, the way to fix is as follows:

When alarm goes off, press the lock/unlock button on the right side of the phone. You'll be given an option to touch either snooze or dismiss on the screen. If you press dismiss, the alarm is dismissed but stays listed as "on" in your phone's alarm clock settings so you don't have to turn it on day after day.

Actually your discovery doesn't work if the phone is "asleep". When you touch the unlock button, it turns into a snooze button and if you slide it over to unlock it just slides itself back and doesn't give the snooze/dismiss option that you described. Very frustrating!

I don't know if this will work, but tonight I went to "Display Settings" and turned the "Auto Lock" OFF. I think this will fix it, because when the phone is locked, there's no choice except to press SNOOZE. I've had a daytime alarm go off when my phone was unlocked because I had just used it, and it gave me the option to "Snooze" or "Dismiss". Just have to remember to turn Auto Lock on again in the morning.
