Get past the activation begining on the DX2?

Is there anyway to get past the activation just to check it out? I'm curently on my Droid Charge by Samsung and I had already switched from this phone to the OG DX and tried getting back on my Charge (which I now am) but couldnt due to the SIM card. Apparently if you go from a 4G to 3G and try to go back to your 4G with the same SIM, it wont work. Need a whole new SIM card. So, this is why I want to get past the activation part on this DX2 I got for my OG DX. Don't know if this is possible but if there is anyway, please let me know as I would not like to ACTUALLY activate this DX2 on my number as of right now just in case this refurb is garbage or not and then I would want to get back on my charge but would have to go straight to VZW to do that in order to get a new SIM. Just a big fuss I wouldnt want to deal with. Would appreciate any info on this question I have. Thanks!

To get past the activation on the Droid x2, you need to start the phone, then pull out the battery. Restart and as soon as the green droid pops, touch him.

grade 10 16g cards can be found pretty cheap around here in various adds.

i'm not sure why the card affects activation, can't it be removed for activation?

Touch the four corners at the activation screen. One corner at a time and on the bottom presses just above the input boxes. This bypasses cell activation and can allow you to setup a wifi signal. You can then log into a Google account and access the market. Essentially you`ll have a 4.3 inch ipod running on android os. Be careful though. Set up another Google account so when you access the market you don`t accidentally download apps that are not compatible for your phone.

Also, He is talking about the 4G SIM card, not an Sd card. It is required for activation and usage for a 4G phone. Besides the fact that the Charge comes with a 32GB SD card.
