ringtones for notification

I've had the bionic for almost two weeks now and I can say its a great phone, except for a couple of things that I can't get pass them. For example the speaker is worst than the speaker of the droid x. The default ringtones that it came with are not cool so I downloaded some from phonezoo.com and from other websites and I created some thru ringdroid, but when I set them as my SMS or email ringtone I can't hardly hear them. Is there an app on the market that can help my notifications sound louder? Another is that when I listen music thru the speaker it sounds loud but when I set the same song as my ringtone its half of the volume from the music player. Is it my phone only?Is there a fix on the market? Or is it all bionics?

i do have it and it only works for the music player app. it doesnt give an option to help the notification tones. Or i might not know how to use the app. Can you explain if and how it can help the notification sounds?

You may not have your notification volume set the same as your ringer volume. You can change this by pressing menu>settings>sound>volume. This should bring up 3 or 4 sliders and a check box. The check box is to use your ringer volume for notifications. If you wish to adjust them seperately, uncheck the box and adjust the slider. Other than this, AFAIK, there is no way to really make your max volume louder unless you have access to the inner workings of the OS.

The Equalizer app runs in the background and improves all audio that goes through the speaker... It works incredible on my Droid X and my TB, Do use a task manager to close it? It uses the systems API to access all audio that comes through the speaker...

Are you running the trial or full version because I hace no issue with it improving audio of any kind....

Wildman, thanks for your help i was able to manage the app and now the sound is 10x better. I set up my own custom preset and the music player sounds great. The great thing is that now when i get a notification and a call i can actually hear them.
