Samsung Charge microphone issue

Anyone have any troubleshooting tips on figuring out why it sounds like the Charge user is holding the phone right up to their mouth with their hand over the phone and over-modulating their voice, eventhough they actually have the phone in the normal position at their ear?

This is a unique situation, but I'm glad to help you out! Does this happen only when speaking to people that use a Droid Charge when you are using the Fascinate listed in your profile to the left? Or can you call this Charge user from a landline and have the same call quality issues? I'm trying to determine if this is an issue with the Fascinate-to-Droid Charge specifically, or maybe a unique device issue on either end.

 

Please advise more details so I and the community can be of assistance!
