Android Upgrade for my CITRUS

I would like to inquire to see if an update to my phone will be coming soon. I currently have:

Firmware version 2.1-update1

I would greatly like to get an upgrade to the 3.x that I keep hearing about. Is this even possible?

Sorry for my numerous posts. I am still trying to figure out my phone and would like to better understand the functions.

not for the OS. the citrus never got 2.2 (froyo) so i doubt it ever will. for apps, if you open the market and go to "my apps" it will list which ones have available updates.

forget about 3.X......you may eventually get 2.3 (gingerbread).....but i'm really surprised it doesn't have 2.2 (froyo)???

Do you know if there is a way to push to get an upgrade? I have noticed that many of my items are out of date.
