LG Cosmos Touch VN270 - Mobile eMail Annoyance - PLEASE HELP!!!

at random times the mobile email app on the lg cosmos touch (VN270) will start with an audio file attempting to get me to download the app. basically it's an advertisement.

the problem is that this occurs randomly; sometimes at 2 or 3 in the morning and wakes me up! it's incredibly annoying.

i have internet services blocked on the phone so i couldn't dowload it even if i wanted to.

of course, verizon customer service is of absolutely no help with this at all. update your software (done), reboot the phone (done), take the battery out for 36.2 seconds and stand on your head for an hour then put the battery back in!

nothing i've done has helped and the issue persists.

as far as i can tell, there is no way to delete the app from the phone; there are no options for removing it (probably since i can't download it).

i need help with this please~!!!!!!

crosby1612, I know how this can be annoying because you have to get pass the app that you don't want to open the app your actually using. I have listed steps below to remove apps from your phone and steps to uninstall mobile email.

Steps to remove an app from your device:

From the main screen, touch Menu.
Touch Media Center.
Touch a category.
Touch options next to the application.
Touch Remove.
Touch Yes.

Steps to uninstall mobile email below:

Select Media Center (Get It Now).
Select Browse & Download (Tools on the Go).
Select Mobile Email.
Select Options.
Select Remove / Erase / Cancel Subscription.

Verizon, this was a worthless reply. Read the user's original post. He and I have the same problem, DATA IS BLOCKED! We haven't downloaded or installed Mobile Email. We don't want to download or install Mobile Email. This is very similar to the Daily Scoop issue. Do a google search if you aren't familiar.

A randomly firing AUDIBLE advertisement for your data services is UNACCEPTABLE!

Please indicate how to permanently disable ALL Media Center notifications.

I am sorry to learn that our previous response did not resolve your concerns regarding the audible advertisement on your phone. I have checked my resources and our system indicates that this issue will be addressed with the next software update. Please be assured that such software update will be pushed to all our LG Cosmos Touch customers as soon as it is released by the manufacturer.
