LG Octane Questions

I've got my LG Octane, and have it activated. Mostly liking it. Have a few questions though. I've read that it runs on the CDMA 800/1900 frequencies as well as EV-DO, Rev A. What exactly does this mean? Is this good? Bad? What kind of speeds can I expect from it (About)?

Also, I have the 75MB data plan for $10 a month. I got into some setting last night (Can't seem to find it now) where it sends out it's GPS location every so often (How do I get back into that? lol). How much data is this using?

I've also tried using Social Beat. Is there anyway to contact Social Beat? Having a problem with their software trying to access Facebook and Twitter. Apparantly they have a character limit of 11 characters when entering your password-my passwords are more than 11 characters, and I don't intend to reduce them (And reduce security).

My last qustion is, under Phone Settings, there's a NAM select, and NAM1 and NAM2 are available. What are these? NAM1 is selected.

Do NOT adjust the NAM1/NAM2 settings. Doing so if you don't know what you're doing will most likely result in something like this:

 

"OK I was messing with my Samsung alias and I accidentally changed it to NAM2 and it reset and when it came back on it ask for a me to enter lock number but my lock number will not work."

 

 

In other words, the phone will now be in a status where it now can not be used to place a call until it receives a several digit long lock number.

 

 

As far as what NAM1/NAM2 do ... This is what I found through a google search; I don't know how accurate the information is
