In contacts, if you have multiple phone numbers for a single contact, you can show those numbers as various things; Home, Mobile, Work, Pager, etc. There is even a "custom" choice, which lets you type in your own tag.
Warning! Any phone numbers that you have assigned to a "custom" tag WILL NOT BE BACKED UP in Verizon Backup Asst. If you do a reset, or lose your contacts for any reason, reinstalling them from Verizon Backup Asst will not reinstall those numbers. They will be gone forever. So if you are going to do a reset, be sure to change any custom tags to one of the standard tags before backing up your contacts to Backup Asst.
I'm not sure if the same holds true for backing up contacts to Google. And along those same lines, is there a way to change all of my current contacts to backup to Google instead of Backup Asst? I see the option for any new contacts, but not a way to change current contacts. Any help?
