4510 keeps shutting down

My 4510 shuts down unless the charger is connected.  Even though my unit is fully charged it shuts of if I disconnect the charger.  Verizon has replaced the unit 3 times and each new on acts the same.  It will not stay on unless the charger is connected.  The local store manager insists he has never seen that with any other users.  Anybody have any ideas on this?

That sounds like defective hardware to me.  Most likely the battery is not making proper contact with the rest of the device and your MiFi powers down.  Or perhaps your battery is not actually charging at all, trying to run the deivce off battery power simply isnt possible because there is no charge.  The fact that you have had the same hardware problem 3 times is really strange.

 

A few questions for you:

Have you recieved new batteries each time you recieved a new device? 

Can you swap batteries with other MiFi's and reproduce the problem? 

Are you using the standard wall charger to charge your MiFi?

Is your MiFi exposed to any extreme heat or cold?

Does your MiFi battery work in other MiFi's when this problem happens?

 

Some users have reported power issues with thier MiFi's on this forum but they have all had them replaced by Verizon with no further issues.
