Stop calendar and address book syncing with Facebook

Syncing BB Storm 2 with Outlook 2007 Vista 64 laptop. Log says syncing is being done with Outlook AND with Facebook. So there are duplicate entries in both calendar and contact list. Have re-synced with option to copy from laptop to BB and wipe all prior entries. Same result. Where is the connection made with Facebook?

It sounds like you've installed the Facebook app on your phone and enabled the syncing options. To turn off Facebook syncing, open the app on your phone, press the BB Menu button and choose Options. From Options uncheck the Connect your Facebook account with: Blackberry Calendar application and Blackberry Contacts application, then press the BB Menu button and Save your settings.

Thank for the response! However, none of the syncing options are checked on the BB. Do I need to uninstall the FB app on the BB and then reinstall?

Finally just gave up on any fix. Wiped device and started over with no Facebook install. We'll see if that maintains the single calendar and address book. Really s--ks though since I like the FB app for the BB.

How is that working for you? Did you try downloading Facebook again to see if you could get it to work? I use a syncing application called ZBook that I can initiate the sync individually so I have not had this problem.
