every symbol is upside down and backwards, menu icon now at top, numerical listing on menu in reverse order and backwards, Verizon store rep did nothing but take battery out and put back in, I've read this is an issue with lots of these phones, is there a fix, is LG or verizon doing anything to help those folks whose phones are out of warranty and not ready for new every two?

I understand how frustrating the software glitches being experienced are to you.  I would like to confirm the software version on your phone.  An update has not been released for a while but just want to be sure your phone has the latest.  Press Menu>Settings and Tools>Phone Info>SW/HW Version.   Which symbols are being displayed differently?  Does it seem as if a certain process cause these issues, for example, only while texting or after making calls?  Please let me know if I can troubleshoot this issue further.
