Texting from Dare to iPhone...

Hi. I am having trouble sending text messages to a friend who's on another carrier. The mesage I send say they've been sent, but are never delivered. She was on some other carrier -- Sprint I think, and none of my texts ever got through. She recently ported her number to an iPhone, don't know which carrier, and the same problem persists, I need to be in touch with her. She's one of my best friends and is moving to Germany and will be posted in Afghanistan for the forseeable future. What's the deal, and is there a fix or a workaround to this very annoying problem?

Unless you arent getting messages through to verizon phones, this would be an issue with the other carrier. I would recommend having the other person stop at their carrier and make sure they have full access to receive text and pix. The majority of people i communicate with via text have other service providers and ive only experienced the issue once. This person spoke with their provider and found out they were missing a feature.

 

Also be aware that sending a text to and from germany will be a international text on your bill. Prices will most likely be around 25c per message. Any time you are going to do anything internationally, its always a good plan to speak with the international customer service department for clarification.
