I have a pantech crux and my phone is not letting me know I have voicemails.  I called my voicemail last week and had 10 new messages, that  I was not aware of.  I took my phone into the store and stood there for 45 mins while they tried to help me, and it was unsuccessful. 

 

I have restrictions that only people in my contacts can call me and that was their reasoning for voicemail not showing up on my phone.  She said I could go home and block people from my phone from my computer.  I DO NOT want to PERMANENTLY block anyone from my phone.  I do want people to be able to call and leave me a voicemail even if they aren't in my contacts.

 

How do we fix this issue???

If you are not getting your voicemail notifications, it's likely that your message waiting indicator is turned off.  To turn this back on, it really depends on which voicemail system you are in.  

 

Follow the below steps to change your message waiting indicator status:

 

• Dial *86
• Enter your voicemail password. 
• Change personal options press 4. 
• To turn message waiting indicator press 1. 

Note: This may vary by voicemail system, but there is generally an option for the message waiting indicator.
