I can record a voice memo on my LG Octane by pressing and holding the CLR button but cannot find out how to listen the the memo or manage any saved memos.
You didn't mention that you were apparently referring to the CLR on the outside, i.e. with the flip/face closed.
You can also record a memo by pressing and holding briefly the Space bar on the inside (flip open). If you do it the latter way, you will be taken to the My Sounds screen where your memo will be listed along with many built-in ring tones, etc.
You can also get to My Sounds the regular way: open flip, OK (menu), Media Center (5), Music & Tones (2), My Sounds (6).
