Data Usage Widget Login

I'm not having any luck using the data usage widget to check my usage. When I'm connect to 3G it works fine, when I'm connected to wifi, I can't see my usage. I understand wifi isn't part of my usage but I should be able to see my account status.

I have been using 3g watchdog and it has been close enough so that it is usable. I think vzw uses a little different calculation for rounding but it has been within one mb or so each month. When i start to get really close i go online and check there but really even that isnt 100% accurate.
