'Answer' options on LG Revere

I'm still in my Revere 'learning curve.' Given time {with assistance}, I'm sure I can figure this one out. But, maybe someone could quickly tell me: When viewing 'Answer Options,' I have three boxes to check/uncheck - Flip Open, Any Key and Open with Hands Free. Mine was set with checkmarks in Flip Open and Any Key. If I leave as is, does thais mean I can answer the phone by merely opening the lid - without pressing any key? And I can end just by closing lid? IF I 'uncheck' 'Flip Open,' does this mean I MUST press key before answering AND that closing the lid will NOT terminate call?

Yes - flip open means that opening the flip will answer the call. Closing the flip will end the call.

"Any key" checked means you need to press a key to answer, though I think that closing the flip will end the call no matter what. And the call will end when the other party hangs up as well.

The best way to see how it works is to try variations of the settings and see how the phone behaves, and then choose the combination that works for you.

Hi SuzyQ, I appreciate your response to my three queries. Relative to the 'Answer' options, I used a neighbor to experiment. She refused to call me - as it would have been a long distance call. So, I tried closing the flip to test for call termination. She was still on the line??? As Spock would have replied: "Illogical!" I'm thinking with BOTH 'flip open' and 'any key' checked, maybe the 'any key' canceled out the 'flip open' command??

Now, I'm waiting for an incoming call to see if I can answer the phone merely by opening the flip. Time and experimentation will provide the answer(s).
