Hmmm, looks like they reported fixing a number of the old bugs, good to see this..
Wildman do think a Master Reset is needed before the update as was done before on gingerbread just to be on the safe side.B33
@B33 - did you do a FR before - for teh GB update? I would think if you did, just let this roll w/o a FR and see how things go. Of course the silver bullet is there if issues arise. But seems like a lot of work for "just in case". YMMV
@B33
From the list of apps that you sent me that you reported having insltalled a hard reset doesnt seem required because you dont have any apps that modifies the OS, basically the device is still stock except a few add ons...
As long as the apps that you have installed doesnt modify the OS then you should be ok with doing update without a reset...
The update went through for me but only thing I notice is less lag time and not quite as often dumping into 1X from 3G. If it does drop from 3G, it is only for a second or so....whereas before it stayed there for several minutes. But I have noticed that my battery does seem to drain quicker than it did before. I use Pandora at work via a bluetooth headset and before the update, it be down to 70% by lunchtime (2-3 hrs of use) but now after the update its down to 50% by lunchtime with same time usage. I never had to hook it up to the charger at work but rarely but since the update it needs to be hooked up to the charger at work. So if they updated better battery management, then it went in the wrong direction from what they are saying. Wow Motorola failed in this update to the update. I'm starting to heavily think that maybe I need to put a thirdparty ROM on this phone instead so atleast I can enjoy the phone in the way it is supposed to be enjoyed
I don't have it available on my phone yet either.
I done a full FR on my X an i think its helping so far. but i'll see how it goes over next two days an the weekend an post the resolts Monday.
P.S. i done my FR after i downloaded the 4.5.602 update.
And i have been streeming Winamp for 5 hours an no hiccups.! so far. my fingers are crossed to go alittle longer B33

Try clearing your battery status may help with this issues.... Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / All Tabs / Battery / Clear Data
Wildman when i was looking were to clear there are two listings for battery
Thanks B33
With the update, I can no longer see exactly what percentage my battery charge is at, i.e. 50%, 100% etc. Am I missing something? Also, is there a way to have different notification tones and volumes for texts vs emails? Thanks!
For Battery level, Menu / Settings / About / Status and you can see the percentage of battery charge.
I think (I could be wrong - been before) that he's talking about in FROYO, there used to be a % indication on the battery indicator up on the top status bar. I sort of recall that as well, but have since downloaded the Battery Circle app. You know, something I found out by doing so is that the normal "% Battery Charge" status is just a rounded up figure. So when it says something like 80%, it can really be closer to 75% .... also, when it says "fully charged", it is really only about 95% charged. I found this with that APP ...

Actually the same is in GB too, but you can only see it when your charger is plugged in on the lock screen. I use Battery Circle too and when I see 76% for example, the actual lock screen (with charger plugged in) shows 80%. Now fully charged most of the time does max out at 95% but I can actually get it to 100% occasionally. Just wish they would have a built in exact % for the battery instead of having to go find a battery widget to do it for you
