The update, on the whole, is welcomed. The main problem: stationary icons cannot be changed or deleted. In particular, the Dialer and Contacts icons perform the same function. I would like to get rid of the All Apps icon. Is help on the way?
If you mean you wish to change the defaul Icon on the bottom tray, you simply LONG-PRESS on the Icon and you can change the Application it's associated with. Long-Press and a pop-up comes up that says "ADD TO DOCK" - select which App you want it to be. The only one you can NOT change is the APP DRAWER on the far right ...
Thanks. The Apps Drawer (far right) is the one I wanted to change. The Dialer icon seems to be linked to the Contact icon to the right of it. If I open the Dialer, close it, and reopen it, the dial pad is ready for use. If I open the Contact icon, close it, then open the Dialer icon, the contacts are ready for use. I think the Dialer icon should open on the dialer and the Contact icon should open in contacts. Contacts opens appropriately; Dialer does not.
You can't get rid of the all apps icon - how else would you access your apps?
Seems to be a minor bug with the phone tab opening the contacts tab - it just opens the dialer without telling it which tab to go to, so it just shows the last tab that was open. If you push any of the tabs on top in the dialer, and then press home and then the phone button again, it will go back to the same tab that you were on instead of to the phone tab.
Yea, unfortunately that's the way it works - it remembers you last choice from the Dialer.
