Samsung Reality Charging Issues

Second (first was replaced for this issue) Samsung Reality that has a mini usb port which, after many months, will not either connect properly to the wall charging unit "or" is not connected properly to the battery. Anyone having issues with what appears to be an "extremely position sensitive" charging cable/port on the Samsung Reality?  If you wiggle it, the charging will work for a while but then stops so unattended charging is very hit or miss. Arrrrrgghhhh! Dang thing. Ideas welcome. Have two months to replace on contract... many thanks.

Hmmm, the mini ports are small, and delicate; possibly just getting worn out after being used for a time. The "wiggling" to get it to work is probably compounding the problem by making the connection MORE loose.

A workaround (if available) would be an external charging pod or universal charger device to charge the battery outside the phone; something like http://www.batteries4less.com/samsung/reality/universal/travel-chargers/revive-universal-battery-charger-for-li-ion-batteries.html
