android Quickmark scanner

I found a good app for a scanner called quickmark.I've never used a bar code scanner before.Does anyone know how they work?

Bar Code Scanner simply scan the bar and then search the web for that item identified by code and some apps allows you to search stores arounf you to buy the item.. Have you tried Google Goggles...
