No data connection

In an area where 4G service is not expected for awhile. But the last few weeks, pretty much anywhere I am the data connection would drop, but come back. Well, it dropped last night and has not returned.

Tried all the usual types of fixes without any luck. :smileysad: I fear that radio has bit the dust.

Will let ya know what happens today.

MikeS_VZW came through! After an hour of, "Try this, try that", he said a master reset is in my future. Then he sent one more message with one more suggestion and it has cured my no data issue.

I am back in business and a huge thanks to Mike! You are awesome!!!!

I am also having data connection issues. Ever since the latest OTA update, I lose data connection all the time and nothing I seem to do fixes the problem. It just comes back on its own. Someone please help.

What was the solution (I don't see it above)? Not trying to be mean or anything, but whatever solved the issue could help others that find themselves in a similar situation.

Well, Verizon sent me a replacement Thunderbolt and the tech told me to go to the store and get a new SIM card. The store would NOT give me a replacement SIM card and the replacement phone has a "blown?" earpiece speaker. So, I just shipped back my original phone and my second replacement has arrived today. See how it works when I get my hands on it. Replacement #1 still lost data connection too. By far, the worst phone I have ever owned from Verizon and I have been getting phones since 1997.

My Verizon HTC Thunderbolt tries to apply the new upgrade several times a day. Each time it locks up with a red triangle with a red exclamation point and I have to take the battery out to reset the phone.

VZ support told me to go to the local office where they would do a factory reset and apply the update. The download took about 3 hours and the update failed (as usual).

VZ support told me that if the factory reset didn't work then they would send me a new phone.

Instead, they sent me a used phone (factory refurbished).

Then on top of everything else they told me that when I send the phone back if it gets lost then they will bill me for the cost of the used phone! In other words, it is my responsibility to put in a claim with Fedex, pay Verizon for the phone I didn't want, and then get a refund from Fedex!!!!!

I have never experienced such poor service. They can't fix the problem, tell me they are sending me a new phone and instead send me a used phone (which I am returning), and then tell me that it is my responsibility to pay for the phone I am returning if it gets lost!

Can anyone recommend a better wireless provider and a better smart phone than HTC's?

Have between losing 3g data randomly since upgrading to GB. Lost data yesterday, 25th, today I still do not have a data connection. ##778 went through the process enabling Rev A, phone rebooted but data did not come back. Have removed the battery also. Seeking advise other than the standard "reboot". Thanks

Just found my problem. Under quick settings on the notification bar mobile network was not checked. As soon as I checked it 3g came back. Hope it stays back
