One day I went to look through my contacts and when I clicked it it said "program is no longer installed on phone" I am unable to get to any of my contacts and can't add any either.... I need help!!!! any suggestions???

What happens when you open phone and click contact lick?
that is when the "linked program is no longer installed" message appears. its driving me crazy!
This seems like a situation that I have to ask, you wouldn't by chance be rooted.. I only ask because the contact app can only have been removed when user has root access.You may can hard reset but I am unsure if the app will get restore.
I have have not rooted my phone... let alone know what/how to do so! do you recommend a hard reset?
