I've recently purchased the Cosmos Touch and for the functionality of the phone, I do like it. Unfortunately, the screen locking mechanism seems poorly designed. The shortcomings of the phone are simply that while the phone screen locking feature is enabled (note, this is the locking feature which does not require the security code but the one which is intended to prevent phone miss-dials), it is far too easy to inadvertently unlock the phone.
The phone can be unlocked from this screen several ways:
1. By pushing the unlock button and sliding the unlock bar on the touch screen
2. By pushing the unlock button twice
3. By pushing any button on the phone and pushing the unlock button once
4. By sliding the phone keypad open
The screen will also become active when any of the phones buttons are pushed while the phone is locked which is a nuisance for battery preservation.
With the numerous unintended calls I've made, as well as several media downloads I have not wished, it would certainly be more desirable for the phone to be less prone to accidental unlock by mitigating the list of unlock methods to points 1 and 4 only. It would be further desirable that the screen only light up to the unlock screen on those points as well. I am hopeful that this suggestion has or will make its way to an update soon or some security feature already present in the phone will provide a suitable solution.
Thank you for your time and any suggestion will be helpful.
