Incredible 2 USB port bezel loose

I have only had the phone for 4 days and the black bezel around the micr-usb port is already loose and makes rattling noise whenever the phone moves. Very annoying. I opened the back cover and noticed the black bezel (or frame) appears to be an unsecured insert just to protect the micro-usb port. Has anyone else experiencing the same problem? Is this something needs to be fixed or it's just poor design and workmanship that won't cause actual functional problems?

Also related to this problem are: 1) the micro-usb plug is very tight, in particular very hard to pull out. 2) the micro-usb port itself has a little "play" and I wonder if it's going to get worse over the time. 3) the back cover is a little bit loose around that corner.

If you've had it for only 4 Days Take it back to the store show them Whats the Bezel is Doing an have them get you a new phone because you only have 14 days to return it an you've used 4 of them.

Well a snug USB is'nt un common i have to phones a Droid incredible an Droid X an when they were brand new the USB's were Snug an after a while they'll ease up alittle now if you get a new charger they again will be a little more snugger.

But i would take it back an get a new one but make sure you inspect it eally close an tell them you want to pute the battery in your self so you can see how every thing buttons up on it. if any is out order make sure they no about it.

Yeah, I will take it back and let them look at it. I will also take a look at their floor model and see if it has the same problem. I am a bit wary of getting a new phone as the one I have now seems to work fairly well (had one unexpected self reboot but that's about it). Another possibility to ask for a more better fitting back cover.

I went thru Two incredibles an on my 3rd Before things got straitened out. An Acually you say i went thrue 4 because the day i returned No. 2 for the 3incredible It would'nt even Turn on an we Swamped different Batteries an it would'nt come on. But i finally got this one an so far an few Bumps in the Road Later. I've been Happy with it. :smileyvery-happy:

Went back to the VZ store where I bought the phone and showed them the problem. They agreed it's a problem and brought out another phone and opened up the back cover. As I suspected, the black frame around the usb port is just a free standing protection and it's not secured. But that phone had a perfect fitting back cover while mine was not tight (you could push it down a little bit with your finger and when you let it go it bounces back). So I asked them to give me the back cover from the other phone. The rattling is much less now. I think the problem is caused by poor design. I looked at my wife's iPhone and the USB port is fastened to the case with screws! No wonder a lot people think iPhone is a better product. :smileyhappy:
