Updated software and now phone won't come on!

HELP!! I updated the software on my Samsung Galaxy last night. At the end of the update the screen went black and now all that I get is SAMSUNG across the screen that stays on for awhile and then goes blank. Power button does nothing, softkeys at the bottom are not accesible. I have NO idea what else to do and I NEED my phone for work ASAP! I even let the battery run completely down last night and then recharged it...nada...

HELP!

Have you tried pulling the battery out then putting it back in ?

Today my samsung facinate updated and all I get is "samsung" it won't get any further than that. I have take the battery out serveral times, I have let it linger on "samsung" for more the 30 min and still nothing. I even took out the little memory chip under the cover hoping that would make a difference.

Follow instructions and you should be up and running in less than 10 minutes.

The other option is to take it to Verizon and have them send you a phone if you are still under warranty
