enV2 not recognized by computer

I plug in my enV2 to my computer with the provided USB cord and my computer does not recognize it. The enV2 gives me an error statement. Any help?

It sounds like your computer has a device manager conflict. For troubleshooting options please visit the link below:

It could be a couple of things -

The USB port needs to be 2.0
The USB port needs to be a direct connection to the motherboard, not a peripheral or hub port
In most cases, you need to have an SD card installed in phone and use the USB Mass Storage mode on the phone

My son was getting errors with his Env3 when he used a port on his keyboard; when he used one of the tower ports, it connected right away.
