LG Cosmos Touch Roaming?

Hey,

 

I just got this phone and I'm concerned about the fact that I may be roaming.  In my old phone, the display on the upper left for signal strength was different than the one I have now.  The way it displays now (1X then bars) only showed on my old phone when I was out of my normal calling range or when the signal was really low.  Does anyone know what I'm talking about and/or can anyone help me?  Thanks.

 

I thought I set up the phone correctly but now I'm worried I'm going to be charged extra.

I can understand your concern with possible roaming charges!  I would be glad to explain details about your phone and details about roaming!

 

Just in case you are worried about roaming, as long as you are within the United States, not roaming on an international cellular tower and you are on one of our current Nationwide calling plans you will not be charged for roaming.

 

Now to settle your concerns about the "1X" signal indicator, "1X" just refers to the network technology (CDMA) we use for voice and data services.  This is an indication your phone is receiving the correct signal for service.  Not all phones display the 1X signal indicator.
