Time to get rid of the BIonic

It is December and no update. So, I am exploring my options to get rid of the brick Bionic. I need to know if I would be breaking my contract by giving up a smartphone and going back to a simple phone with no data. I still have an old Verizon phone that I think can be activated. I will try to pick up data from somewhere else for my iPad and give up on smartphones.

No you will not be braking your contract, you can change devices and services but if you decided to go back to a smartphone you would fall under the contracts rates instead of any special promo prices that you have now...

if so you will lose it by doing this

Yes, I have unlimited data. I will check out ISP options for my ipad, if they are acceptable, I will no longer need Verizon data anyway.
