Mobile email issues with Samsung convoy2

Wanted to see what mobile email would look like and I got it to work ...now i can't stop it. Used up the trail  subscription and the icon hangs in the event status bar and sends me email appointments from my calender.Asked VZW to make sure there was no charge, went to store had it rebooted, talked to the tech's tech admits it's free advertizing on the status bar for that feature...I have to laugh that the phone sends calendar appointments without me knowing how to shut it off.Guess I could turn off the phone when I'm not using it

Thank you for sharing your concern with the community. I find it interesting that an app that you no longer use is sending calendar alerts on its own. I doubt that the app is supposed to work like that/ May I ask did you setup any calendar appointments during the free trial period? If so then this may be the reason as to why you are still getting notifications. In either case, I would recommend that you re-setup mobile email & edit the settings in the phone.

 

In the settings, please verify that Application Lock is off. Then go to Account Settings and turn off Auto-receive New Messages and Notify on New Mail prior to deleting your email account on the device. This will ensure that you will not receive any further notifications from Mobile Email. I would also recommend removing any re-occurring notification in the calendar on the device to ensure that it's not the stock notification on the phone.
