Sent message folder on phone

My Droid X has stopped saving messages in the SENT folder. I still have messages that were sent prior to the software update, but post-update messages are not being saved. I am using the email program that came with the phone and it is a Verizon email account I'm using. Any thoughts?

 

Bonus points for anybody who can tell me why my phone became so horribly slow immediately after the software change.

Delete the email account, and set it back up again.

 

 

Bonus - Have you tried a battery pull for the slowness? If so and that hasn't helped, then I would do a facotry reset. This will delete everything on the phone and you will have to set the phone back up again.
