gps not wotking correctly

My gps doesn't work correctly. It always says searching for gps I could ne in the same spot for hours, but it still won't find a gps. Sometimes it will find an aproximent location but never where I actually am. Once I go to navigate it never finds a gps. I normally go through the maps app, nut have bought other apparently to try to solve this dilemma. Everything i've tried ends with the same result

Well, you might try getting a free app called GPS Status & Toolbox.  It's available in the Marketplace.
