Apps will not download on Droid 3

I have VZW and the droid 3. I just activated it today and none of the apps from them market will install--I keep getting an error. Also, my g talk isn't working, an error saying: "Google Authentication failed. If this is a google apps account, confirm that Chat service is enabled for this account". Someone please help!!!

Ive seen Google Talk have that error but I havent seen it effect downloading apps from the Market.

Okay if youve seen the first error, how do you fix it.
