New DX2 Owner

Just replaced my Sammy Fascinate with a DX2 and the first thing I notice is that the settings, contacts and input screens

all have a white background...very jarring. Is this an option or a standard? The Fascinate was black.

Sorry if this is a stoopid question, just curious.

Can'r speak specifically to the DX2 (I have a DX), but GB did make this feature change and there's no way to change it. I agre though - I wish they would have AT LEAST provided an option for either Black or White background.

I agree. I don't like the white backgrounds for the menus. In Handcent, I have the "Dark" skin chosen - but everywhere else on my phone it's white :smileysad:

Yes it would be nice to change. The Fascinate with both eclair and froyo were black.

I was surprised to see the DX2 (froyo) as white, hard on the eyes and uses more battery.

As of now. There is no way to. Change it. I have an x2 I know I tried.

As an alternative, there are many contact managers in the app market that may have backgrounds more to your liking.
