Screen on my LG died. no backup assistant installed. Is there any way to install it with no visual menu so I can transfer contacts etc to my new Droid 3? Staffer at Verizon kiosk was unable to assist. Thanks for any ideas.

I am sorry to learn your LG phone display went blank. However, without being able to see the screen, there would not be a way to install the Backup Assistant. There could be a possibility available to get your contacts off the LG phone by doing a phone book transfer. I contacted the store located at: Ballston Common Mall, 4238 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA 22203 (703) 812-8164. The phone book transfer can be option. If you want to try this option at a different location, please go to our website for locating a corporate store in your area. Please call ahead of time to speak with the store representative your visiting. Please, bring both phones with you to do the phone book transfer. If you are able to get contacts transferred, then your contacts could be synced to your Google email account on your new Droid 3 device. I hope this suggestion helps in getting your contacts back.
