Droid 2 Global Update Stuck at 0%

I'm in Baghdad, Iraq.

I got the message to update my D2G so I accepted.

It's been stuck at 0% for a day.

I tried restarting it in safe mode, but it's still stuck at 0%.

I also tried a battery pull.  Still stuck at 0%.

 

It's connected both to Wifi and to the local cell (roaming) tower.  I don't have roaming data enabled, as that'll probably cost hundreds of dollars for the update.

 

I'd settle for cancelling the update, if possible, or manually downloading it and placing it in the right folder.

 

Any suggestions?

What version are you running now, Froyo or the 4.5.607 Gingerbread?  Both updates (Froyo to 4.5.607, and .607 to .608) are available on the web for manual downloading.  This is much quicker than downloading via the phone.
