FASCINATE NO CELL SIGNAL NO WI-FI?

My wife has a Fascinate, she has no bars in the house and it shows wi fi but it won't download, it just keeps grinding away with nothing happening. We have several other smart phones which all work off of wi fi even if no cell signal, am I missing something? It used to be a decent phone but lately it doesn't work well at all, very slow,freezes up and has to have the battery pulled. Any Ideas?

Are those other phones/devices working at the same time that the Fascinate is not working? How is your wifi setup? Are you using filtering by MAC address, so it needs to be added to your wireless?

I am having the same problems. Getting quite upset about this. Basically means it's a worthless "smart" phone without a cell signal. Have tried rebooting, reset, etc.
