I saw a post (can't find it now) where someone was having a problem getting and/or keeping a data connection (3G/4G). In the post the person who posted the question included a picture of his or her notification screen and I noticed that Wi-Fi, GPS, ad Mobile Data were ALL turned on. On my Charge if Wi-Fi is turned on it will automatically turn OFF the DATA 3G/4G connection. It seems to have priority so therefore I lose my data connection.
I would suggest if you are having a problem regarding 3G/4G data connections that you disable Wi-Fi.
I can test this quite easily because in my house I have both pretty good 3G/4G data connection directly from a VZ cell tower and I also have a VZ Pantech UM290 modem connected to a Cradlepoint MBR1000 router that I use in my motorhome..
Because of this I can use the Charge's Data Notification screen to quickly switch between Wi-Fi and Mobile Data. When Mobile Data is active and I have a good 4G signal I can activate the Wi-Fi and within seconds I see the 4G data signal disappear. If I deactivate the Wi-Fi the 4G data signal comes back.
If you try this do activate the Wi-Fi so you can turn it on and off using the Data Notification screen.
