is there a way to get the text messages that are sent to a phone on our account sent to an email address also?
Not automatically - but you can forward them manually from the phone to an email address. All that comes through is the text of themessage though, no information about who it was received from or timestamp. You need to add that information if you need it.

You cannot have text messages sent to an email address automatically. However, all you need to do is type in the email address instead of the number on your phone, and then just send it.
