I am trying to get a phone for my dad, but he is concerned that, because we live in a mountainous area where most cellphones don't work, he won't be able to carry a call continuously down the roads from our house. We don't actually have Verizon yet, so we don't know exactly how it will hold up, but are there any phones (recent past or present) that have exceptionally good reception? If possible, with a telescoping antenna?
