OK so I got a free Samsung Intensity II in late June of this year when I had the opportunity to do so for free. I immediately started having problems with my contacts. I would save a number in my contacts list - then that contact would show up multiple times in my list - and not in alphabetical order. I would also delete certain contacts and they would magically reappear. I have no clue why this was happening. The point is moot now as I lost that phone, but now I'm having strange problems with my replacement. I received my replacement - an identical Samsung Intensity II - and charged it 12 hours according to the accompanying directions. Then I activated it and it worked fine for two days. Today it would not power on. When I plugged in to TWO different chargers it would not display the "chargning" icon on the screen. I spent a half hour on the phone to technical support from Verizon and Assurian (the replacement equipement company) and they could not troubleshoot it for me. So now I have to wait for a SECOND replacement phone - again, another Samsung Intensity II - and then we'll see if this one works properly. I'm not happy with the fact that I've spent $50.00 for the 1st replacement phone PLUS left them with a credit card just so they can send me the new replacement. And they seemed very clear that when I send back the 1st replacement - if they detect any "water damage" or "other damage" not consistent with normal usage they may charge my credit card up to $300.00!!!!!!!!
So I've basically been without a phone for a week and had to pay $50.00 for the privilege. Has anyone else experience either of these problems with the Intensity II? Either the mysterious "changing contacts" problem or the "replacement phone suddenly dying" problem?
