Is this update a complete upgrade or just a minor one, will i lose all my information on my phone like a factory reset or will it stay close to the same, contacts, etc?

You should not lose anything unless you have a bad Install
Then all bet's are off
Could mean Factory Reset Or Have to get a CPO Phone
