SYSTEMS UPDATE CRASHED EVERYTHING! - Phone to be replaced - 3G HTC Incredible

I received the prompt to upgrade my Adroid software. I regret it.

• All apps force close (System apps and other).

• Emails cannot be received

• Cannot text or receive texts

• All pictures and video lost

• Major business problems due to this with calendars, and other apps offline!

• They are sending me a new phone and crediting me $15.00 (no consolation based on the problems I've had)

• Considering going to another carrier based on the problems.

There must be others experiencing the same problems!

Why, it seems like they are trying to correct this. If you do leave, you may want to get a basic phone. Smartphones on any carrier can and have done this with software updates.

Have you tried a Factory Reset i got this update same as you but not the issues your posting a few minor ones but not the loss your describing. An by the way did you let the update go all the way thru. it can take up to 30 min. for this update to get done. as it did on mine an i was as close to the tower as one can get. with no obstructions in the way.

I am sorry and shocked to hear yet again another horror story of this update. It seems that only a select few people have had a smooth transition. So, Im not going to be waiting for it anymore, just running mine until its upgrade time. Plus Im not going to climb one of Big Reds Cell towers and have a battery back up just to ensure its not gonna be a incredible mess.

:smileyvery-happy: @ livinthedream when i met close to the Tower i was a 1/4 of a mile from it in a parking lot. an i'm adventurous but not into climbing Towers as i'm too fat & old plus i like my freedome . :smileywink:
