Keep losing network and phone connectivity

I just bought this phone about two week ago and already had it replaced due to the phone keep getting hot just sitting on the desk. With the new phone I would lose network connectivity then I would lose phone connection. I would get a message mobile network not available. It seems that every time I want to use the phone I would have to reboot the phone to get any connection also when that happens the battery drains and I would put the phone on the charger. The battery will just last about 4 hours. I like this phone when it works but I'm getting frustrated and thinking of just returning the phone and go back to the my old Motorola droid. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Kzuka can you give your approximate location why i ask if your in an area were the 4G is weak or if your in a sandwich meaning you have some 4G an some 3G that phone can be fighting itself to get the signal an what you may end up having to do is set it on 3G only an shut off the 4G radio. Hows does it operate at Home from when your at work. Take a look at both instances an Compare or if you done that already Let me Know.

Thank you for responding. I live and work on Maui were true that the 4G is new and spotty. But would that also cause my phone connectivity loss?

How can I turn off the 4G? Sorry I just got the phone and I'm not very familiar with the phone.

I am soooo pissed. I havent been able to sustain a signal all day and surely couldnt use the hotspot on my Samsung Stratosphere. There has got to be an explanation. I pay such an expensive bill each month for this crap? I live in Gainesville Florida inside a well known 4g location. What the F people.

I'm in Flroida and havent had a signal hardly all day and I use the hotspot on my Samsung Stratosphere. No connectivity either on the phones internet without using the hotspot.
