Samsung Intensity II White Screen

My Intensity II turned off in the middle of the night and when I turned it back on the screen was white and stays like that. I can use everything but just can't see what im doing or who I am calling or anything. I took out the battery and tried a new one but that didn't change anything and tried drying it out cuz I didn't know if my kids had got it wet somehome that didnt work either. Has anyone had this happen? Is my phone no good now? Plz help

Having a blank screen is a great way to test your memory and see of you can still navigate the phone.  Unfortunately, that gets old after about 30 seconds, and I would like to help resolve your situation.  The Intensity may be covered under warranty if it has been purchased in the past year.  You've done the right thing by removing the battery.  Liquid damage may explain the blank screen if it was indeed exposed to water.  You can check the liquid indicators on the back of the phone and on the battery.  If they have a pattern on them or are white in color, then you're fine.  If they are a solid pink color, that means the stickers were exposed to water.  That doesn't necessarily prevent you from doing a warranty claim as long as there are no other signs of liquid damage.  Here's what we check for when we get the phone back at the warehouse:

 

1) Moisture inside the screen.

2) Liquid inside the screen. 

3) Corrosion around the charging port. 

4) Corrosion around the battery port.

5) Any corrosion on the metal parts of the phone. 

 

If you have one or several of the above, the phone was exposed to liquid at some point and is no longer covered under warranty. You can file an insurance claim, upgrade (if you're eligible), or purchase a certified pre-owned phone from us as well.
